Over 300 people filled the GC Ballroom on FIU’s Modesto Maidique Campus last Monday to hear Peru's former president, Alan Garcia, share his views on what is needed for today’s Latin America to move forward. His lecture and Q&A were part of LACC’s 35th anniversary series and its newly established Andean Studies Program. Following the conference, Garcia met with the press to reinforce his message.
